My wife and I are laying on a bed in the living room of the home of the family that lived across the street from me when I was growing up. This was a hangout for all the kids growing up. In the dream, there are several kids playing in the living room, which seems very normal as this is the place we all played at when I was a kid. Running across the length of the ceiling is a chandelier holding numerous white candles. Some of the candles on the chandelier are pointing up, some out to the side, and some straight down. Only four of the candles are lit, and they are four of the candles that are pointing down. They are dripping wax. One of the candles is dripping wax by my head on the bed I’m laying on. I observe this for a while and tell my wife, “most of the candles we lit in the beginning have gone out.” I watch a few more drops of wax fall by my head, then say, “I think I’m going to put these out too.” As I move to put one of the candles out, I see a vision in my head of four men from the waist up. I understand these four men to be archangels. The voice of Lucifer then speaks to me in my head, and says, “before you put any of those candles out, you better know well which one belongs to me, because the last one that tried to put my candle out…” I then watch one the heads of one of the archangels violently get ripped off. I feel the intense rage of Lucifer directed toward me and I feel my life is in danger. I am very alarmed by the vision and think, “I need to talk to my close family and friends about this vision, because it appears we need to prepare for an intense war with Lucifer.” But what I say out loud, as if to acknowledge the vision Lucifer had shown me, is “Okay.” After I said “okay”, I perceive Lucifer felt I was in agreement with him, and his mouth wrapped around my body to the waist. There were no teeth, but I was engulfed in flames. I began to fight from within his mouth screaming, “No, No. that’s not what I meant!” Meaning I did not mean to agree with him. While I was fighting and screaming, my wife woke me up.
This dream is quite complex and can symbolize different aspects of your subconscious mind and emotions.
The setting of the dream in the childhood hangout house across the street could represent a sense of nostalgia or longing for simpler times. The presence of children playing may symbolize innocence, freedom, and a carefree attitude that you may be yearning for.
The candles, specifically the ones pointing down and dripping wax, could represent issues or aspects of your life that are burning out or fading away. The fact that only a few candles are lit could symbolize that only a few aspects of your life are currently illuminated or active.
The appearance of the archangels and the mention of Lucifer in the dream may suggest a battle or conflict between light and dark forces, good and evil, or inner struggles within yourself. The violent act of one of the archangels losing their head might symbolize a potential loss of guidance, protection, or spiritual direction in your life.
Lucifer's presence and the feeling of danger and intense rage that you experience may symbolize inner conflicts, temptations, or negative influences that you are facing in waking life. The vision of being engulfed in flames could represent feelings of being consumed by anger, guilt, or fear.
Your response of fighting back and screaming "No, No. that’s not what I meant!" could reflect your subconscious desire to resist negative influences or forces trying to manipulate or control you. It may indicate a need to assert your own beliefs, values, and desires in the face of adversity.
Overall, this dream may indicate a need to confront and address inner conflicts, negative emotions, or external pressures that are impacting your sense of self and well-being. It could be a reminder to stay true to yourself, your beliefs, and your values, even in the face of challenges or temptations. Consider discussing this dream with loved ones or a therapist to gain further insights into its meaning for your life.
